Rocco Scary is probably making the coolest art out of paper you’ve ever seen, and he makes the paper too. Call them sculptures or books, the artist defines his works as spaces for the convergence of place and memory. Take a look at his work here.
“The Last Door on the Left” on Auction now.
The simple scenes that he creates are heavy with nostalgia. They could be miniature city-scapes, or a Ferris wheel, or a billboard. Some are built upon piles of paper that continue down like a core sample of personal history upon which the scene rests, or -(less metaphorically)- the way the city extends far below the cement we walk on. Others stand all alone.
The Last Door on the Left is a beautiful and secretive piece. The bidding has already begun on this one, so get competitive. Don’t let someone else go home with this one-of-a-kind Rocco Scary piece!
Psst! You can bid on this work in person and take it home with you if you come to our auction. Tickets are available here! If you can’t make it in person you can still bid on the work here! We hope you will join us for an enchanting spring evening of music, cocktails, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a rousing live auction featuring work by acclaimed artists.
