40th Anniversary Collaborative Reading Series
April 24, 2015, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Anselm Berrigan with LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs;
Dean Kostos with Sharon Mesmer
In conjunction with the Center’s 40th Anniversary, we have asked past curators of the Broadside Reading Series to collaborate and create a new piece which they will read along with their individual works. This innovative series is organized by Sharon Dolin, Co-Founder of the Broadside Reading Series.
Anselm Berrigan is the former director of The Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church.
LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs is a writer, vocalist, sound artist and Harlem native.
Dean Kostos‘ poem “Subway Silk” was translated to film and screened in Tribeca.
Sharon Mesmer is a poet, fiction writer, essayist, and writing professor at The New School.
Reception follows each Literary Program reading; guests receive a free letterpress broadside.
Suggested donation: $10 non-members / $5 members
The Center’s Broadsides Reading Series is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
