Do you have a sentimental cookbook or children’s book that needs repair to be able to use again? Have you thought about putting it ‘back together’ with self-adhesive tape? This is not a long-term solution and can cause further damage such as staining and loss of material. In this class we will repair cloth bindings with the intent on saving all original material, while keeping the integrity of the binding structure. You will learn how to tighten up loose textblocks, clean old adhesive off spines and reline with archival materials and color matching.
