Color Field Monoprints
March 4, Sunday, 10 pm-4 pm
In this one-day workshop, students will become skilled printmakers using one of the most painterly mediums in relief printing. Monoprint—a method first advanced as a serious art form by Edgar Degas—is one of the favorites of contemporary artists for the expressive possibilities it embodies.
Using plastic plates and non-toxic inks, students will learn to mix and build up inks to adapt and extend a single plate, through multiple on-press interventions.
No experience or additional materials are required for this class.
Tuition: $150 members / $175 non-members. Become a member.
