Printing in Motion: Flip books
August 5 - August 6
August 5-6, Saturday & Sunday, 10am-4pm
Let’s expand our printing into the fourth dimension: time. Join us for a brief exploration of the use of the Vandercook proof press as a tool for producing basic prints of text and/or images that move. We’ll break down the mechanics of analog, frame-by-frame animation and use low-tech printing methods to make simple flip books. The basics of letterpress including press operation and typesetting will be covered. Some previous printing experience is encouraged, but not required.
