Printing Without a Press: Make Your Mark
May 20 - May 21
May 20-21, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am-4 pm
How does one print without a press and still create images and patterned end papers for one’s own artist practices? In this class students will make their own stamps, using brayers, stencils and natural elements along with an array of direct and indirect modes of making marks to create one’s designs. We will explore image transfer, registration and hand printing to create monotypes and editioned work. You’ll discover numerous image-making methods that can all be recreated in your home studio or apartment. This workshop is designed for teachers, writers, artists and anyone who loves to create a richer and expansive vocabulary for their work.
No experience necessary.
