Learn how to make a quick recycled book using 5 simple techniques.
In the morning you will learn a paint transfer technique, pop-up, pamphlet stitching, and a simple one sheet zig zag accordion. We will practice a few variations throughout this one day class. Our materials will include cracker boxes, Chinese food menus, recycled art work and more! In the afternoon we will re-make the zig zag accordion and put it all together with the addition of some extra details. The simplest techniques can leave you inspired!
Jennifer Verbit, while attending Alfred University, discovered painting and printmaking; and graduated with a BFA. Following college, at The Center for Book Arts, Jennifer has been studying the art of bookmaking for over ten years. She is experienced in teaching hands-on book arts skills to children, teens, adults and senior citizens! Additionally, at CBA, Jennifer has taught demos in Pop-Up cards at the bi-annual open house.
