Archive Bound

Curated by Karen E. Jones.

Archive Bound examines methodologies within the presentation, documentation, historiography, and exhibition display of non-object based and site-specific artworks. Additionally, the exhibition includes books, photographs, and ephemera associated with Conceptual, Performance, and Site-Specific Art practices. Several first generation avant-garde figures lay the groundwork for a discourse on the contemporary utilization of these crucial genres.

Artists:

Guerilla Girls, Ana Mendieta, Martha Rosler, Situationist International, Seth Siegelaub and Robert Projensky, and Martha Wilson, who laid the groundwork for a discourse on the contemporary utilization of these crucial genres. Contemporary figures such as Justin Amrhein, Sophie Calle, Paul Chan, Aurora DeArmendi, Rainer Ganahl, Jacqueline Goss & Jenny Perlin, Thomas Hirschhorn, Sasha Huber, Liz Magic Laser, Karyn Olivier, Cory Arcangel, Laylah Ali, Jacqueline DeJong, David Wojnarowicz and Marion Scecmama, James Romberger and Mauguerite Van Cook
