The centerpiece of this project is a card catalog library file which records the artist’s reading history over the past half-century. Each cards in the catalog been altered and transformed into a visual narrative of the book it refers to, using drawing, rubber stamping, collage, and handwriting. Topics range from landscape design to aviation and from artists careers to giving birth. Book Marks is in effect remnants from the library of the mind. If the file case stands metaphorically for the brain, then the cards represent information stored in memory. We are what we remember.
