Type Aficionados! If you’re in NYC this week and are in the mood for an exciting type-related activity, take a look at Pencil to Pixel, a one-week exhibition in Tribeca of materials from the Monotype archives. Included are drawings by Eric Gill, creator of Gill Sans; hand-cut films for Neue Helvetica; drawings for Times New Roman commissioned for The Times of London; as well as photos, publications, and more. It’s fascinating stuff.
The show is up this week only, through the 9th of May, and you have to RSVP. More information is on the exhibition website here.
