Event Info

This class will take place on:

  • Sat, April 24th, 10:00–11:00am ET

In this online workshop for kids and parents, students will explore the concept and making of a double accordion book or Dos-a-Dos structure inspired by materials, methods and perspectives that will be presented by the instructor and her 8 years old son directly from her art studio.

The course will focus on how to construct a simple but 3-D book with what you have at home, by using printmaking and bookbinding techniques. The instructor will demonstrate how to construct an accordion book from a bunch of white pages, and the rubbing and stencil techniques for house printing its content. Students may also use other art forms, such as drawing, painting, or collage.

By the end of this course, students will reflect on what they created, and will continue their content of the book on their own at home!

There are a total of 12 spots open in this small-group workshop.
