Con mi abecedario a cuestas (2016) Aurora De Armendi

Con mi abecedario a cuestas is comprised of 26 clay letters. The work explores linguistic homogenization through abstraction. 

Aurora De Armendi is an interdisciplinary artist working most recently in the form of artist books and clay. She received her BFA at The Cooper Union School of Art and her MFA at the The University of Iowa. Aurora has been an artist in residence at The Bronx Museum of Art, The Center for Books Arts, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Jamaica Flux and Le Maupas. Her work has been exhibited at Wave Hill Garden Glyndor Gallery, International Print Center, The Center for Book Arts, MDCC Museum at the Freedom Tower in Miami, Bailey Contemporary Art Center, Fototeca de Cuba among other venues nationally and internationally.
