Event Info

Join us Saturday, August 20, at 5pm at Miriam Gallery for a round table discussion with Unfolding Forms: Multiple Approaches to the Book featured artists NIC Kay, Rachel Hillery and Lizania Cruz. Discussions will explore what initially drew the artists to the book form, their processes in book making, their experience as Center for Book Art’s artist-in-residences and much more.

Alongside the conversation, this program invites visitors to interact with experimental books selected by Kay, Hillery and Cruz from Center for Book Arts’ permanent collection and Miriam’s bookshop, as well as the artists’ personal archives, and the featured exhibition works.

We look forward to you joining us!

How to Attend

To attend this event please RSVP through the eventbrite link and ignore CBA’s registration system.

This program is in partnership between Miriam Gallery and Center for Book Arts and part of the exhibition Unfolding Forms; Multiple Approaches To The Book, a two part group show of artist-made books that reflect intimate and interdisciplinary approaches to creative book practices. The featured artists participated in Center for Book Arts’ residency programs from 2020-2021, and have demonstrated a commitment to shaping their work into experimental book formats that reflect their conceptual strategies. Public Programs at Center for Book Arts are free with a suggested donation to support CBA’s programming.
