Ruth Ann Howden (b. 1942 in Wisconsin) BA in art from UCLA, bookbinding training from North Bennett Street School, Boston, printmaking at RISD, and assorted classes at CBA. Predominantly a painter, mixed media on paper, showing in galleries in Boston, Rhode Island and New York. She expanded into book art about 17 years ago. Since retirement she has focused more on written word (poetry, stories, plays) doing visual art for pure pleasure.
