Barbara Moore

Barbara Moore is an art historian, writer and former rare-book dealer specializing in late 20th Century avant-gardes, including artists’ books and performance. She has written and lectured on these subjects and/or curated exhibitions for: Artforum, Soho Weekly News, Franklin Furnace, The Clocktower, P.S.1, Anthology Film Archives, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, The Swiss Institute, Judson Memorial Church, the Walker Art Center, and the Block Museum at Northwestern University, among others. The Avant-Garde Reference Files of Barbara Moore are housed in The Frances Mulhall Achilles Library at the Whitney Museum.
