Darian Razdar

Bio

Darian Razdar is a writer, artist, and independent scholar. His practice is embodied, ecological, collaborative, and research-intensive – often working with the mediums of poetry, image, textile, and print. With roots in the Great Lakes and Caspian Sea basins, Darian’s practice currently moves between Toronto, Mexico City, and Paris.
Darian is the author of the books Nightwalker (Reflex Editions, 2025), Edge Theory (Silverfish, 2025), Morning Poems (San Press, 2023), and the editor of Counter-Map: A Poetics of Place (Reflex Urbanism, 2022). His critical and poetic writing is published in Commo Magazine, Peripheral Review, C Magazine, Vallum: Contemporary Poetry, The Blasted Tree, PM Press, Pleasure Dome, The Asian Canadian Living Archive, Upping the Anti, QT Literary, Hearth Garage, Toronto Star, Progressive City, and Metropolitics.
The artist’s practice is complemented by community-oriented workshops that engage themes of place, ecology, and craft through close reading and experiential activities: a landscape hosts something, Chromocore, Poetics of Place, and Community Power Mapping.
