destiny brown (they/any) is an earth worker, writer, and conjurer born in “los angeles.” destiny uses their craft to grapple with the complex and harsh experiences of living as an Afro-queer femme. Their writing resembles the melodic power of spell work to call forward ecosystems free of intersectional oppression. their work is centered on collective formation, transformation, disability, oral heritage weaving, Afro-lineage work, spell casting, land memory, and transmuting harm. in 2022, destiny earned a b.a in agroecology with an economics minor from the university of california, santa cruz. they have been featured in a 2024 issue of pacificREVIEW. destiny currently enjoys a quiet life in Guerneville, CA, with their cat, Gemini.
