Bio

Hasselt, The Netherlands 1948, studied from 1965 to 1969 at the Akademie voor Kunst en Industrie in Enschede at a time when under the directorship of Joop Hardy art no longer was traditionally confined. She moved early about in circles of international art, especially with Friedensreich Hundertwasser in Vienna and as companion of Pieter Holstein in Amsterdam where she still lives today interrupted by long spells in Iceland creating a vast graphic and painterly oeuvre that was shown in her home country as well as internationally. She is a co-founder in 1985 of Boekie Woekie, books by artists which she co-runs still today together with Rúna Thorkelsdóttir and Jan Voss. She also is a co-founder of the Dieter Roth Academy in Basel in 2000.
