Kara Lack

Bio

KS Lack, a writer and letterpress printer in New York, is interested in the interplay between presswork and poetry and in transcending constraints by working with them. Along with Ana Paula Cordeiro she is a founding member of the Introspective Collective, an organization of artists specializing in printed matter.

Her work has appeared in various publications and galleries, including Proteus Gowanus, Main Street Arts, Red Flag Poetry, Eastern Iowa Press, and The Clemente. She also enjoys creating libations as a playful interpretation of Gebrauchskunst (utility art). She hopes to foster the same sense of communal collaboration embodied by the CBA at her studio in the Hudson Valley, where she publishes under two imprints, Tor View Press and Zitternpress. She has been living with chronic pain and disability since she was a child.
