Nanase Shirokawa

Bio

Nanase Shirokawa is an arts worker based in Cambridge, MA and is currently a curatorial research associate at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in the Art of the Americas department. Her personal research interests span memorials, public art and outdoor sculpture, legacies of imperialism in the Pacific, visual and spatial representations of nuclear energy, and the production of architectural knowledge across print media. She has previously worked in communications and public programming at cultural institutions such as the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts and the Architectural League of New York, and she holds a BA in art history from Williams College and a MS in history, theory, and criticism of architecture and art from MIT.
