Norah Maki

Bio

Norah Maki is a multidisciplinary artist and social designer whose work explores present and future landscapes. She uses site-specific visual vocabulary, language, scale, texture, and repetitive mark-making to address the ways in which we shape and are shaped by our natural environment. Her work has been recognized with fellowships at the James Joyce Foundation in Zurich and the Center for Book Arts in NYC, and is held in various public and private collections. She is the co-founder of Singing Saw Press, which publishes collaborative works of poets and visual artists. Norah holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BA from Bowdoin College.
