Malik Kirkwood

Malik Kirkwood began his career as a child/teen actor in film, tv, and theatre. In addition to the theatre arts, he excelled in advanced mathematics & physics.

Kirkwood also took up skateboarding, sketch art, and screenwriting as hobbies. He graduated high school as a National Merit Scholar and received a full ride to Howard University.

During his time at Howard, he started four businesses and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.B.A. Degree in Finance. He studied business at the Universiteit van Amsterdam during his junior year and tutored English at a ‘Black School’ (used to describe the ethnic composition of primary schools in the Netherlands).

He accepted a full-time offer in Corporate Finance/Banking at a NY firm.

Malik left banking (very) shortly after his arrival and found himself immersed in New York’s raw art scene. He’s transitioned seamlessly into the arts, creating and collaborating across borders and disciplines. Kirkwood continues to excel as a pure artist, unbound by construct or category.
