An algorithmically-ordered, autobiographical book work sourced from the artist’s original writings. Like a medieval Book of Hours, various genres are represented, including diaries, dreams, academic papers, fictive prose, poetry, plays, and video and installation scripts. Each numbered volume is uniquely randomized. The algorithmic process allows the retrieval of memories in an arbitrary order, sifting associations. Source texts have been divided into paragraphs. Exiled from their original context, the character of the artist waxes and wanes according to their order and mix of actual, dreamt, or fictionalized experience. A kaleidoscopic reading imparts a visceral comprehension of the tenor of a life. Published by Weil Books and the recipient of a New York State Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in 2015. The paperback version has 10 different iterations, each with its own ISBN number, even though essentially they all have the same text- scrambled differently for different readings.
