Sheherzade’s Gift: Subversive Narratives

This exhibition catalogue examines the work of women artists from Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Egypt and Bangladesh who reside in the US. Their lived experiences vary from being recent immigrants to being second generation Americans. It includes an essay by curator Jaishri Abichandani, full color images of the artworks included in the exhibition, a full checklist of artworks exhibited, and a conversation between the curator and artists.
