In the company of 6 women artists and managers of different projects in the editorial scene, this group conversation will center self-publishing practices in Colombia. What determines whether a publication is defined as a fanzine or an artist’s book? What are the meeting and divergence points between one and the other in the discourse of the national scene? What are the implications of these definitions in the form of conceptualization, production, distribution and discovery of books? Do they have a direct impact on the international visibility of the publications?
Zully Sotelo, Juliana Ocampo, Eva Parra, Alejandra Montero, Jennifer Vega, and E V A, who manage Aquí y Allá (distributor and learning platform), Techo Roto (editorial), Calipso Press (printing house), Papel Caliente (fair and library), Musa Paradisiaca (distributor) and N13BL4 (editorial), will give us their impressions as distributors, librarians, printers, editors, and artists from the editorial scene in Colombia.
