Fuera de registro: una conversación entre Mela Dávila y Paola Peña

Zócalo de la comedia, Beatriz González, 1983

Event Info

Which are some of the main publishing experiments produced by women artists in Latin America? Why could we consider them to be Off-Register?
The Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia (National Library of Colombia) and Center for Book Arts are thrilled to present a series of conversations between Mela Dávila Freire, Sol Henaro and Paola Peña in conjunction with the exhibition Off-Register: Publishing Experiments by Women Artists in Latin America, 1960-1990, on view at Center for Book Arts through December 16.
The curator of the exhibition, Mela Dávila, will be in conversation with Paola Peña on Thursday 12/14/2023 at 3pm EST to discuss the intricacies of serial artists’ publications.
Please join us for both conversations around the production or artists’ publications by women artists and collectives in a Latin-American context from a feminist perspective through Facebook and Youtube channels of the Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia. The conversations will be held in spanish.
