Altering the Page 2021

Event Info

This class will take place on:

  • Thurs, Aug 5th, 10:00am–12:00pm ET

In this online workshop, students will learn about sequencing, layering and folding to arrive at your pages that will, in turn, be assembled to become part of an accordion book created with your unique designs. The accordion book structure is a flexible form that can be adapted to many book themes, and one is the Altered Page Book. A blank page holds a lot of potential and one can alter it via folding, cutting, collaging, adding and subtracting parts, and more.

Do you acquire and save ephemera in your travels and daily life? Do you have lots of beautiful papers and scraps that you saved for a special project? Any old prints that you want to repurpose? We will use all your stored riches to collage the pages and create a new work to store them in.

There are a total of 12 spots open in this small-group workshop.
