This online workshop takes place across four sessions, via Zoom:

  • Tuesday, February 15, 6–8pm ET
  • Wednesday, February 16, 6-8pm ET
  • Thursday, February 17, 6-8pm ET
  • Friday, February 18, 6-8pm ET

This online workshop will cover the basics of vector drawing in Adobe Illustrator. The class will focus on lettering and logos, showing students how to take any hand-drawn sketches and vector them in Adobe Illustrator.

There are a total of 12 spots open in this small-group workshop.


Required Materials

  • Computer with Adobe Illustrator (CS6 or later)
  • Pencil/pen/sharpie
  • Standard white paper for sketching

* Basic knowledge/understanding of Adobe Creative Suite is helpful for this class.


About the Instructor

Nikita Prokhorov is an award-winning lettering artist, graphic designer, and design teacher residing in NYC. With a strong focus on typography, Prokhorov has worked for a variety of clients, ranging from small independent businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He has conducted workshops for several universities, AIGA, and Typism Conference, as well as being a featured keynote speaker for the latter. He is an ambigram expert who has written a book about ambigrams, and his design work has been featured in multiple books and has been honored with several industry awards. When Prokhorov isn’t designing or drawing letters, he is writing original puns, reading, traveling, jumping out of planes, scuba diving, playing tennis, and most likely listening to AC/DC.
