  • Thurs, Oct 21 6–9pm ET

About the Workshop:

This workshop for students of all experience levels is offered alongside a joint conference between the American History Printing Association (AHPA) and the Grolier Club: Impresos: Printing Across Latin American and Caribbean Cultures.

Led by artist and Instructor Nubia Navarro, workshop participants will spend half of the workshop lettering by hand and the other half translating their work into digital type.

Each participant will use their favorite city as aesthetic inspiration to hand-design a small text-based composition. Afterward, students will learn how to polish their work digitally using Procreate. Navarro will cover hand lettering basics, composition techniques, and digital refinement.

There are a total of 12 spots open in this small-group workshop to ensure an optimal student-to-teacher ratio. Register now before the remaining spots fill up!
