About the Workshop:

This in-person workshop is taught by CBA instructor Eva Parra.

In this fast-paced and immersive workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting possibilities of Riso printing and how it can be used to enhance your photographic work.

Through a series of hands-on exercises and projects, we will cover the core concepts and skills needed to creating striking and unique photographic prints. This workshop starts with an overview of the Riso printing process, including a discussion on types on inks and paper stocks. You will then learn the core techniques needed to create effective prints, including ink mixing, registration, and layering. You will have the opportunity to create a 4 color print with your own images. Prior participation in “Hands On Riso” or “Analog Riso” is required to take this class. Students should also have basic knowledge of photo and digital image editing software and access to a personal laptop with photo editing software.

Fun Fact: By experimenting with layers and inks, you can create unique images that may turn out completely different than you expected, but just as beautiful!

Required Materials:

  • Personal laptops with Adobe Suite or other image processing software.
  • Own photographic images – digital or scanned.

All other materials will be provided by CBA at no additional charge to the students.
