About the Workshop:
This in-person class at Center for Book Arts is taught by instructor Roni Gross.
Is there a letterpress project that you would love to print, but are unsure about how to get started? This class will help you understand how to deal with technical issues on the press, how to choose the correct paper and materials for your project, how to structure and streamline your workflow, and how to utilize letterpress printing to your advantage.
Discover the possibilities in utilizing this historic process of typesetting and printing, and discover the limitless potential of letterpress printing. Combine your ideas with the instructor’s expertise to create a project that you can be proud of.
Required Materials:
- Students will need to purchase the materials they ultimately need for their projects, to be determined over the course of the workshop.
- CBA will provide proofing materials.
About Roni Gross
Roni Gross is a book artist whose work is in the collections of The Library of Congress, Harvard, Yale, and many other public and private collections. She runs Z’roah Press which produces limited edition sculptural books.
The registration fee for this workshop includes $475 tuition and a $40 studio and materials fee. We are looking forward to seeing you at CBA!
