About the Workshop:

This in-person workshop is taught by CBA instructor Eva Parra.

Come experience all the fun of Riso printing without computers involved! This is an introductory workshop for Riso first-timers but also a good chance for those who might have overlooked the built-in features of the Riso machine.

Participants will learn how to make the most out of your Riso printing whether you are scanning watercolor, collage, drawings, or your analog photographs. Each student will take home an edition of 10 lettersized two-color prints. This workshop is part 2 of a series of Riso workshops and will be focused on using the machine. An introduction to the history of Riso printing will be provided in the previous “Hands On Riso” workshop.

Fun Fact: Risograph printing is favored by artists due to its ability to create interesting dynamics from the machine’s spot colors, the overprints, and the relationships between colors.

Required Materials:

Students are welcome to bring media such as watercolor, drawing pencils, photographs, etc. All other materials will be provided by CBA at no additional charge to the students.
