Haiku Miniature Accordion Book

Event Info

This one-day, virtual workshop takes place on Zoom on Thursday, November 30, from 1:00 pm–3:00 pm.

  • Thursday, November 30, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on November 23, at 11:59 pm.

About the Workshop:

This online class is taught by instructor Maria G. Pisano. The accordion book structure is a flexible form that can be adapted to many book themes, including the haiku.

Our natural surroundings (bugs, trees, flowers, and animals) speak of time, renewal, continuity, and the healing power of nature. In this workshop, students will create an accordion book that celebrates the resilience and diversity in nature and in all of us. The class will create designs related to nature in response to haikus provided by the instructor, and will bring the poem and their designs together in a miniature accordion book.
