About the Workshop:
This virtual class at Center for Book Arts is taught by instructor Elaine Chu.
Create a tunnel book, a paper structure conveying a sense of depth and drama with its many layers! The possibilities are endless with tunnel books: decorate each layer, add lighting, and more. Students will work step-by-step with the instructor online to make their own, unique tunnel books.
Required Materials:

Craft knife

Cutting mat or surface

Scissors
-
4 sheets of 65 lb card stock or heavier Bristol board

1 sheet 70# text weight(Can substitute 28# text copy paper)

Pencil
-
Metal ruler
-
Rubber stamp ink pads (3 or more colors)

Two or more bristle brushes (for dry stippling if needed)

Glue stick
-
Two small LED candles
- Rubber stamps, extra thick foam sheet, and/or found, free-use photos and materials to create content.

About the Instructor
Elaine G. Chu has taught students of all ages, in person and online. Her work has been featured in “Greencraft” and “Somerset Studio” magazines as well as “1000 Artists’ Books.” She co-authored Wood Paper Scissors, a how-to crafts book.
