About the Workshop:
This virtual class at Center for Book Arts is taught by instructor Stephanie Krause.
In this low-mess, fun one-hour virtual workshop, designed for kids ages 7+ and their grown-ups* to enjoy working side by side, you’ll be learning one of the most basic pop-up techniques, the basic box. You’ll then use the basic box to create pop-up cards to give to friends and family! Although I’ll be focusing on a winter/snowman theme for my own work, I encourage participants to create whatever kinds of pop-up cards they would like!
I’ll demonstrate with a camera on my hands so you can watch what I’m doing as I walk you through the process step-by-step, and I’ll check for comprehension along the way.
You’ll be able to use your pop-up knowledge to create all sorts of cards throughout the year, for any occasion!
*Please note that younger kids or kids with motor challenges may need the assistance of their grown-ups.
