Event Info

This virtual workshop takes place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 1-4pm ET.

About the Workshop:

Led by instructor Colette Fu, this is a workshop on creating pop-up cards celebrating the Lunar New Year, for students with no previous experience in design or paper engineering.

Join us in welcoming the Year of the Tiger! The Lunar New Year begins on February 1st and ends on February 15th with the Lantern Festival. We’ll be learning how to make 3 different types of pop-up cards. 2 templates will be emailed before the start of class (the 3rd type we’ll be designing together). In addition to making the cards with you, Colette will discuss the mechanics behind the designs so you can design your own.

Enjoy a short animation about “The myth behind the Chinese zodiac”. Where do you fall?

Class size is limited to ensure an optimal student-to-teacher ratio. Register now before the remaining spots fill up!
