This collage is one of a series of postcard collages Lucy Sante started making in 2017, renewing her collage practice which began in the late 60s and continued through the early 80s, appearing in photocopied zines and on gig fliers wheatpasted on downtown walls. Within this series Lucy challenges herself to use as few elements as possible. Of this work Lucy says, “I’m delighted to be contributing to the Center for Book Arts, especially since I gave my first post-college reading there, probably in 1977.”
