Caterina Stamou
Caterina Stamou writes poetry and curates exhibitions and public programs. She has worked in cultural organizations in the UK, France, Italy and Greece, and has participated in educational and residency programs in Bulgaria, Italy, and the US. Through her curatorial work she seeks to highlight how art interacts with various forms of community building and political action by creating an open space for renegotiating our relationship with language, history, communal living and society. She is a PhD candidate at the Department of English Language and Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her research focuses on reparative practices at the intersection of art, community and social change. She is currently a member of the Athens Art Book Fair team and been awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by Artworks (2022). She lives in Athens, Greece.
Caterina is a 2023 Book Art Research Fellow.
