Cathleen A. Baker
Dr. Baker (b.1945) was paper conservator at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and she was a teacher in the Cooperstown/Buffalo graduate conservation program for 15 years. She is also a well-known researcher, instructor, and author beginning with her publication His Own Labor: The Biography of Dard Hunter (Red Hydra Press and Oak Knoll Press, 2000). Cathy started The Legacy Press in 1997 while getting her MFA in book arts at the University of Alabama, and the Press now offers high-standard publications specializing in the history of printing, paper, and bookbinding, as well as related fields of study.
