Danny van den Dungen
Danny van den Dungen (b. 1971) is member of Experimental Jetset, an Amsterdam-based graphic design collective he co-founded with Marieke Stolk and Erwin Brinkers, back in 1997. Focusing on site-specific installations and printed matter, Experimental Jetset have worked on projects and commissions for institutes such as Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, Centre Pompidou, and Stedelijk Museum.
Solo-exhibitions include ‘Kelly 1:1’ (Casco Projects Utrecht, 2002), ‘Two or Three Things I Know About Provo’ (W139 Amsterdam, 2011), ‘Word-Things in Time-Space’ (Riot Ghent, 2016), ‘Superstructure’ (RMIT Melbourne, 2018), and ‘Full Scale False Scale’ (MoMA NY, 2019).
In 2015, a large EJ monograph (‘Statement and Counter-Statement: Notes on Experimental Jetset’) was published by Roma Publications (Amsterdam).
Danny has been teaching at Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam), and is currently tutor at ARTEZ Werkplaats Typografie (Arnhem).
