About the Workshop:
This in-person letterpress workshop is taught by Amber Braverman.
The Vandercook Printing Press has so many potentials beyond traditional metal or wood type capabilities! Learn to play with pressure printing plates through the creation of dynamic collagraph plates and experimental materials. Don’t miss the opportunity to create beautiful imagery all on the press!
In this workshop, participants will utilize a combination of printing methods to create prints or images to pair with traditional metal or wood type. From setting up the press to mixing ink to creating collagraph plates, your instructor will carefully walk you through each step of the process. This workshop is tailored for those interested in learning new and exciting ways to create beautiful broadsides and posters.
Fun Fact: A variety of textures and patterns can be achieved through experimentation with materials used to construct the press sheet, such as tape, fabric, leaves, etc.

About Amber Braverman
Amber Braverman is the proprietor of Post Editions, a letterpress studio focused on collaboration with artists and writers.
As an educator, Braverman hopes to share her passion for the craft of printmaking with her students. She has been teaching letterpress printing, image-making, and book forms at CBA since 2006.
She began her journey into the world of book arts from a young age and studied letterpress printmaking through apprenticeship and job printing. She currently resides in Garrison, New York.
