About the Workshop:
You find yourself outside at night. Luckily, it’s a clear sky, and the stars shine brightly as you begin to notice patterns. For millennia, we have seen these patterns and given them meaning: legends, myths, tales of wonder; better known as constellations. How can we actually visualize the meanings of those patterns? In this workshop webinar, Bruce Foster will guide you on a celestial quest to give clarity – through the magic of special pop-up cards.
In this two-day workshop taught by Bruce Foster, students will use precut kits to construct three different pop-up cards of several well-known and recognizable constellations! Imagine the delight of opening a card with a cover simply adorned with a constellation of dots and lines to reveal the myth in full form but still shining with the very constellations in place! Connect the dots at last! Join Bruce on this celestial journey through the heavens with the magic of paper and sculptures dancing into view!
No prerequisites required but some experience making pop-ups is recommended.
Required Tools:
