Please join us on May 18 at 12pm for an online event via Zoom in conjunction the exhibition I Couldn’t Read What I Dreamt of. In this conversation, Danny van den Dungen (Experimental Jetset) and Iván Martínez will reflect on how cities, music, and typography might be present in dreams, how frequently these constructions appear while sleeping, and how they might affect language processes and behaviors.
About the exhibition
Through research and the recollection of several testimonies, Iván Martínez (Mexico City, 1981) studies the graphic possibilities of this phenomenon as a device to develop fictitious characters, typefaces, and printed works which aim to reflect on labor, sleep, as well as different ways of perceiving graphic language. The exhibition presents a series of prints and a pop-up book that offer a glimpse into the artist’s distinctive perspective on this phenomenon.
This is an online event via Zoom.
