This virtual event takes place on Monday, January 31 from 6-7:30pm ET via Zoom.
About the Event
Artist Sarah Nicholls, whose exhibition Paths to the Shore is on view at CBA from January 14–March 26, 2022, invites you to this virtual presentation about her ongoing project of publishing and distributing a series of handmade publications focused on specific waterfront neighborhoods in Brooklyn vulnerable to climate change including Canarsie, Red Hook, Coney Island, and Sunset Park.
Nicholls began this project several years ago with the pamphlet series Brain Washing from Phone Towers, which grew out of research-based neighborhood walks. More recent work from her project including pamphlets, video documentation, and handmade maps is on view in Paths to the Shore.
