Event Info

This two-day, in-person workshop takes place at CBA on Saturday and Sunday, November 4–November 5, 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • Saturday, November 4, 10 am – 4 pm
  • Sunday, November 5, 10 am – 4 pm

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on October 28th, 2023 at 11:59 pm.

About the Workshop:

In a structured and supportive learning environment, students will further refine their letterpress printing skills. Topics of discussion will include the best order of operations for executing a letterpress project, troubleshooting issues with impression and inking on press, and learning how to register multiple color runs in one print. Students will use the Center’s collection of wood and metal type, ornaments, and printer’s cuts to play with text and image in their printed projects. This class is recommended for those who want to get comfortable enough on press to begin renting press time to work independently.

Taught by Instructor Roni Gross, this in-person workshop for students who have taken Letterpress I (or have equivalent experience), covers more advanced letterpress techniques.

Required Materials:

  • Pencil and paper for taking notes
  • Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get stained or dirty
  • All other materials and tools will be provided by CBA at no additional cost to the students.
