Alex Belardo Kostiw

Alex Belardo Kostiw is a graphic designer, artist, and educator. Her practice deals in poetic and iterative elements, visual structures of comics, and conceptually driven forms. Exploring the instinctive and the personal, her works complicate how the self, with its hidden parts and possibilities, is understood; interpersonal connections; and perceptions of various realities. Alex received an MFA in Visual Communication Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in English literature from the University of Chicago. She lives and works in Chicago.
