Carol Sturm

Bio

Carol Sturm (1949-2022) was a long time Artist Member, Letterpress Printing Instructor, and former Board Member of Center for Book Arts.

A letterpress printer and bookmaker for over 23 years, Sturm was an instructor in these areas starting in 1980. In 1979 Nadja Press was founded, Sturm’s press which produces limited edition books of contemporary literature and art found in numerous private and institutional collections here and abroad. Over the years Nadja Press published works with Alex Katz, James Merril, Howard Nemerov, Ezra Pound, James Purdy, and Dorothea Tanning.
