Ikram Lakhdhar

Ikram Lakhdhar is a Tunisian-born, LA-based art historian, curator, poet, and arts writer.
Lakhdhar has translated excerpts from her mother’s poetry from Arabic to English and unraveled moments of intimacy and discovery during the process. She sees this practice as a filial exchange and an exploration of the role of translation to transcend cultural and linguistic borders.
Lakhdhar holds an M.A. in Arts Politics from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a B.A. in International Relations and Museum Studies from Connecticut College.
