Rachel Hillery earned an MFA from Hunter College in Spring 2019. Prior to attending Hunter College, she earned an M Arch from Columbia University, and undergraduate degrees in psychology and photography from Washington University in St. Louis. Hillery works across performance, writing, book-making, and photography. The performances and installations arise from familiar situations, yet employ unconventional spatial and site-specific strategies. Hillery was selected as a Hercules Art Studio Program resident for 2019-2020. She is a graduate of HSPVA in Houston, Texas.
