Sheila Maldonado
Sheila Maldonado is a lifelong writer and native New Yorker. She is the author of the poetry collection one-bedroom solo (Fly by Night Press, 2011) and that’s what you get (Brooklyn Art Press, 2019). Maldonado is a CantoMundo Fellow and a Creative Capital awardee as part of desveladas, a visual writing collaborative. She has taught student writers at almost every grade level in the New York City public schools. She currently teaches writing for the City University of New York.
